Mission Miséricorde


"Mission-Miséricorde" is located in a shanty town of Pascuales,
close to the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador, South America.
Services are offered to single-parent women
of the neighborhood and their children.
The Misericordia Sisters of Montreal are ministering in this mission, which includes:

A convent

A day nursery with a capacity of 35 children from 2 to 5 years old.
El centro infantil "EL MUNDO MAGICO DE LOS NIÑOS"

A Formation Centre for women, that offers practical courses which allow them to develop
their abilities in a joyful atmosphere. The artifacts that are created by the women
can also become a source of improvement for their precarious financial situation.
"EL CENTRO DE MUJERES MADRE ROSALIA"

Furthermore, the spiritual aspect has been developed through the Misericordia Family.

A Sister is working at the medical clinic of the parish as a nurse.
With the doctor of the clinic, they give to the children of the day nursery
a regular health evaluation and appropriate medical care,
as well as dental care services..

Sr. Jeannine Vallières is the Coordinator of the whole Pascuales project.
