Msgr Bourget hands out the Exercises of Saint Ignatius to the novices to help them make "personal choices" and "community choices" as they fulfil their mission of mercy.

On his first formal pastoral visit, Msgr Bourget reinstates Mother de la Nativité as founder of the order.
