The Lord has done wonders,
            let us rejoice!

To celebrate a jubilee is to make life sing, the life that is present at the heart of the person, at the heart of the community, at the heart of the mission and at the heart of the Church.

The Institute of the Misericordia Sisters was born officially on January 16,1848 when the Foundress, Rosalie Cadron-Jetté and seven of her companions made their first profession. On that day, they committed themselves by vows of poverty, chastity and obedience to live the evangelical counsels in the footsteps of Jesus.

Since then, every January, we underline this historical event with a festive celebration in honour of our Sisters who are celebrating their jubilee.

In 2007, twelve Sisters celebrate either a 70th or a 60th or a 50th anniversary of religious profession.
