What is this Network?
The members of the Prayer Network are persons who participate in the mission
of mercy by bearing in their prayer the mothers and children entrusted to the
Misericordia Family as well as the intentions of the Institute of the
Misericordia Sisters.

Apostolate
The prayerful members, also called "the friends of prayer", are loving,
generous and charitable people who support the activities of those who
accompany the mothers and children. This participation in the Prayer Network calls for detachment since the person who makes this commitment will never meet with the mother and child for whom he or she prays. However, once a year, he or she is contacted by the liaison agent who gives him or her information about the young mother and child. In some cases, the detachment is still greater when no information is available. The prayerful member is then comforted by his or her faith in the communion of saints.

Commitment
The members commit themselves to pray for a mother and her child for a
one-year, a two-year or a four-year period. The person receives a card on
which are written the christian names of the mother and/or of the child. Once
the commitment time is over, the person is invited to renew it.

Operation of the Group
Any group of people, united unto a same objective, need a structure that
will enable them to reach their goal and keep closely bound together. According
to the area where a group is developing, its mode of operation may vary. At
some places, the one in charge looks after the whole organization. Where the
group is larger, the person in charge has assistants to whom the liaison agent
of each parish where the prayerful members have their residences must refer.
