signifies charity lived in the wake of Rosalie Cadron-Jetté, called Mother de la Nativité, Foundress.

express the love, the tenderness and the compassion of the Misericordia Sister for the mothers and their children.

THE AZURE COLOUR ON THE LEFT SIDE
indicates the nobility of sentiment which should guide the Misericordia Sister in her mission.

THE LETTER "M" WITH A GOLDEN CROWN
recalls the protection of Mary and the initial letter of the name of the Institute.

THE BROKEN REED
represents those in need of love and mercy.

THE SILVER BACKGROUND ON THE RIGHT SIDE
symbolizes the purity and the simplicity of heart.

THE OAK BRANCHES
are the emblem of courage, audacity and moral strength.

THE MOTTO "DERELICTIS MISERICORDIA"
signifies the charism of mercy.
